Lakeland Central Park
Lakeland Central Park is a 733-acre corporate site in Lakeland, Florida, which is located in the geographic center of the State, between Tampa and Orlando. Due to its location, the Lakeland market has become a major industrial and distribution hub in Florida. Flagler purchased this parcel, and a nearby 117-acre parcel named Lakeland Distribution Center, to capitalize on the expected growth in the region. The parcels are located just off I-4 and route 570 near three major regional business hubs: Orlando, Tampa and St. Petersburg. Future tenants will have convenient access to three nearby international airports and two international ports.
Flagler is currently seeking all state and local approvals for this site, and expects the project to be fully entitled by the end of 2007 for up to:
- 5 million square feet of warehouse,
- 650,000 square feet of Class-A office,
- 225,000 square feet of retail,
- as well as hotel and residential units.
Over the next five years, the Company plans to construct 1.4 million SF of warehouse space and 112,306 SF of Class-A office space.
